Designed as a four-issue mini-series, “Ol’ Crazy & The 40oz of Death” is a strange mix of blaxploitation and classic revenge!  Follow the grizzly trail of death left in the wake as self-proclaimed neighborhood watchman, “Ol’ Crazy” avenges the death of a young girl at the hands of a local drug lord.

It’s Afro Samurai meets Kill Bill in a grindhouse mash-up on the page!

Victor and Bryan have created a fun, grindhouse adventure (if that is even a thing). Victor’s storytelling is very “Quentin Tarantino” in it’s non-linear approach. This first issue is actually the “redemption” story and we are promised the back story in later issues. But right now just enjoy the blood, guts and ghetto blood sport. Moss’s style is just as crazy as the title suggests but it’s the type of gritty art that sticks with you after the first reading and you’ll enjoy it even more when you revisit the book to sop up all the cool parts you’ve missed.

Sidenote: When an artist can imply “blood and gore” in a comic book published in black and white, you’ve got chops.
